Oppo bdp-103 can do much more than just play standard blu-ray movies. in addition to dvds and cds, including dvd-audio and sacd, it can handle the streaming and the popular video service netflix on board. in addition, it can play media from your computer or directly from a usb hard drive.. Lastly, a full complement (7.1) of analog audio inputs (rca) rounds out the bdp-103's connection options. throw in an ac power input and you have the back panel of the bdp-103 all wrapped up.. The oppo 103-au may come with a premium price tag, but the video-processing power and build quality make it well worth looking at..
The oppo bdp-103 has hit another one out of the park. it may not be light years ahead of the bdp-93, but it is ready for 4k conversion and the marvell qdeo processing is impressive.. Admittedly, my audio and video equipment would be considered low end by most who might consider the oppo bdp-103. that said, after 3 years of nothing but frustration with my highly rated "cheap" samsung player ($80), using the oppo has been a great joy.. Coaxial and optical digital audio inputs are provided, as are 7.1 analogue phonos, but note there are no analogue video outs at all. the oppo is a child of the digital era. in terms of styling the bdp-103eu shares a resemblance to the bdp-93eu ..
