I did not setup fingerprint on very first start launch of the phone. later, i went to settings->lock screen & password ->password & fingerprint -> add fingerprint i was able to successfully register fingerprint here. got message as a confirmation to use fingerprint to unlock. however, still not able to unlock using fingerprint option..
